About Scott Schlueter
Scott R. Schlueter, D.M.D., M.S., P.C., was born in Germany but has lived in St. Louis most of his life. He graduated from Texas Christian University with a B.A. in Biology. He then graduated from Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville, School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Schlueter joined the Air Force and completed an advanced education in dentistry residency, followed by being the director of the periodontics department at his follow-up assignment. He then completed his Periodontal residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he received his certificate in periodontics and a masters in oral biology. Dr. Schlueter has served as a faculty adjunct at the University of Texas Health Science Center along with the VA hospital located in San Antonio.
He is licensed to administer I.V. sedation, oral sedation and nitrous oxide and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology in Periodontics and Dental Implants, a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, the Midwest Periodontal Society, the Missouri Dental Association, a former member of the board of directors of the Greater St. Louis Dental Society, and a member of numerous other dental study clubs along with being the past president of the South County Dental Society.
He has authored and published professional publications and been involved in several research studies in his field along with acting as a surgical instrument consultant on prototypes.
